Education has always been one of the highlights of Josie’s life. Her mom graduated high school as valedictorian, and from a young age, Josie knew she wanted to achieve that goal, as well. During her time at Los Alamitos High School, Josie took the most rigorous courses available and maintained well above a 4.0 GPA. She graduated as one of the valedictorians—one of her life-long goals finally achieved.

As college acceptances came out, Josie had eleven options to choose from, and she ultimately chose Dartmouth where she has been attending college for the past two years. At Dartmouth, Josie is majoring in Government and minoring in Hispanic Studies. Josie had the opportunity to study abroad in Santander, Spain during Summer of 2017. In addition to taking classes, Josie has enjoyed conducting paid undergraduate research. Her first project looked for a relationship between psychology of deterrence in international relations, and her most recent and ongoing project analyzes the way our modern society and politics is shaped by biblical ideals.

As Josie enters her junior year at Dartmouth, she is getting ready to apply for law school. She has been spending a lot of time studying for the LSAT in hopes of scoring the highest score possible. Who knows where she’ll end up!
